Appeals for Prisoners-of Conscience

Sunday December 9th was a day of writing letters for prisoners of conscience that were chosen by 3 groups; The World Affairs Committee of the Unitarian Church, Group 49 of Amnesty International and the Benenson Society of Providence.  There 329 letters written, they were sent on the behalf of prisoners in Viet Nam, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Pakistan and China.

Our guest speaker was Kamal Elias, a Yazidi Kurd from the Mosul area of Iraq, he worked with coalition forces as a translator during the time ISIS was destroying all other groups including the Yazidis.
